How Do I Remove The Handles For The Devonshire Centerset Lavatory Faucet?

Hold on to the handle while turning the skirt counter-clockwise by hand or with a strap wrench, taking care to protect all finish surfaces. Remove any remaining components to expose the valve. Set all parts aside for re-use. The valve can now be replaced or other repairs made. Re-assemble handle parts in reverse order. Note: Remove mineral deposits with a 50/50 white vinegar/water solution.

 

Use a 3/32 inch Hex Key (Allen wrench) to loosen the setscrew in the back of the lever handle. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw in the bonnet. Set all parts aside for re-use. The valve can now be replaced or other repairs made. Re-assemble handle parts in reverse order. Note: Remove mineral deposits with a 50/50 white vinegar/water solution.
