What Is CleanCoat?

CleanCoat is a coating applied to all KOHLER bath and shower doors, as well as STERLING frameless bath and shower doors.

CleanCoat is a special glass surface treatment that creates a barrier between water and the glass.  With untreated glass, water droplets can calcify, creating unsightly residue. But with CleanCoat, water and dirt run off in droplets, making these doors easier to clean.

With CleanCoat, just wipe down regularly with a soft cloth and water to keep glass looking clean.

It is recommened to use a squeegee to clean the door. Mild household cleaners can also be used if the homeowner feels it is necessary. A 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water may also be used for cleaning. Abrasive or harsh chemicals, including but not limited to: alcohol, Comet or any product including ammonia, should not be used.

CleanCoat will not prevent the door from fogging during use of the shower.
